Hannah looks forward to Robin Hill School's celebration of one hundred days of classes, but when a cold keeps her home the day of the party she decides to bring in the one hundred buttons she found anyway.

On Groundhog Day, the students in Mrs. Connor's class try to find out whether the class hamster can predict the weather as well as a groundhog.

Mrs. Connor's first grade class decides to send colorful fall leaves to students in another state where the leaves do not change color.

During Parents Week at Robin Hill School, the students are all impressed with what one another's parents do for a living, especially Ayanna, who realizes that the artwork her father does at home makes him very special.

When first-grader Jamie has a Halloween party that includes a haunted house, Hannah is nervous to enter until Jamie volunteers to go too and explain everything to her.

The kids in Mrs. Connor's class are planting a garden! Everyone is excited to plant the vegetable seeds--except for Neil. He does not like vegetables. After all their hard work, will Neil find vegetables are not as yucky as he thought?

When everyone in Ms. Connor's first grade class has a cold, she shows her students how to wash their hands to get rid of germs.

Mrs. Connor's first-graders watch as caterpillars slowly turn into butterflies in the butterfly garden at Robin Hill School.

When Hannah goes to the beach with her mother, she is shocked to find her first-grade teacher, Mrs. Connor, lying there in a bathing suit as if she were an ordinary person.

Asked by their teacher to think about the things and people for which they are thankful, the first graders of the Robin Hill School take turns sharing their feelings, challenging young Reza to think of something original.

Katie and her family make shamrocks for each of her classmates to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but when Mrs. Connor shows a shamrock that looks very different, Katie is sad until, together, they learn the distinction between a shamrock and a four-leaf clover.
